Morphologic Description:

    Otolith shape: rounded becoming subquadrangular;
    Thickness: very thick;
    Form: -Mesial convex;
    Form: -Lateral convex, with nodules or tubercles;
    Dorsal margin: slightly flat;
    Dorsal margin sculpture: irregular;
    Ventral margin: strongly rounded;
    Posterior margin: slightly rounded and entire;
    Sulcus acusticus: ostial, heterosulcoid;
    Colliculum: heteromorph, low anterior and indistinct posterior colliculi;
    Pseudocolliculum: absent;
    Ostium: wide and sub-quadrangular;
    Cauda: large, narrow and deep, strongly bent in ventral direction. The top curves in the anterior direction.;
    Ostio-caudal differentiation: dorso-ventrally constricted;
    Collum: absent;
    Crista superior: poorly developed over ostium, ridge-like over cauda;
    Crista inferior: poorly developed under ostium, well developed along the entire cauda;
