The Southern Assemblage:                                    After (p.47), AMOCO Seminar on Stratigraphic Principles.

This assemblage dominates a large area in southern Florida Bay where there is wide access through the Upper Keys to the reef tract. The main elements are not common in either the Gulf or Open Reef Tract Assemblages, and this assemblage may reflect the northern edge of an association more characteristic of the Lower Keys than of the Bay.
